Sunday Scribblings Offer Incentive and Inspiration

Writers of fantasy; prose poetry; real life reflections, there is a great spot for you online to meet up with other creative writers. Oft times writers are prompted by small things, a leaf on a tree; meeting someone for lunch; a view; and in the case of Sunday Scribblings an idea suggested by lovers of what pen to paper can produce.

Meg Genge and Laini Taylor invite writers to check into their blog once a week, see what their lasted suggestion is and post in on Sundays.

WONDERFUL!

Some ideas in the past have been:

* #134 -- "I don't like myself. I'm CRAZY ABOUT MYSE...
* #133 - My Style
* #132 -- If I had to live at a different time in hi...
* #131 -- FORBIDDEN
* #130 -- Wedding
* #129 - Invitation
* #128 -- Coffee
* #127 - Miracle
* #126 - Somewhere
* #125 -- How I met my [fill in blank]

So try it! Human beings are creative, and yes that includes ALL of us. We design our own persona; decide on what foods to eat or deny; set our tables; paint our houses; choose a couch to sit on. Those are just small efforts that we all do in inventive ways. Despite what might be forming on your lips as a protest to this, I would say, "Try it!" Decide to step past your journal...or to begin a journal! Take steps to understand your own artistic abilities, that you may not have even know existed before. Some of you may be seasoned writers who need some new energy. Either way, jump in, see what Sunday Scribblings latest prompt is... and WRITE!

Françoise Nielly

"The Work" by Françoise Nielly

ARTIST FRIENDS I would like to introduce you to, one being:

Françoise Nielly

"Exhibiting in St. Tropez, Paris, Montreal and Vancouver, Nielly’s approach carries with it the cross currents of a cosmopolitan lifestyle. Her subjects themselves–male and female–are as ethnically colorful as her palette (one cannot but suspect her zeal for radiant ultramarine and sumptuous alizarin was fostered by her Riviera upbringing). As if to further emphasize this savoir-faire internationalism, her individual paintings–which are otherwise catalogued in the formal tradition of "Untitled" serials–each carry with them the name of the country (France, Canada, Dubai, Germany) in which they now live in private collections. Her most recent work has evolved beyond the studio setting, incorporating loose fragments of contemporary visual culture and imaginatively synthesizing her fine and decorative arts training."

Kathysart Note: Don't you just LOVE it? Oh my gosh, what a fantastic use of color Francoise has. My priority in painting is to paint with passion, so of course Francoise's work feeds my soul. Thank you Francoise!
